Texas is known by MADD as the deadliest state in the United States when it comes to drunk driving deaths from car accidents. This case isn't from Texas but it happened in Texas Township in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

Bret Frame was convicted of second degree murder and operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated today in the deaths of two men last June. Frame was convicted of killing Justin Bailey and Mark Angelocci.

Frame's blood alcohol level was 0.263 which is more than three times the legal limit in Michigan. A toxicologist testified that in order to reach this level of impairment, Frame must have ingested at least 15 beers prior to causing the accident.

I just don't get it. We all know the dangers of drinking and driving. Frame knows he is going to go out and drink. Why would you risk killing people for a few beers? All you have to do is ask someone for a ride home, even the bar you are at will make sure you get home safely. Yes, you might have to pay $50.00 for a taxi but please tell me you think that is worth it to make sure you don't hurt someone else or yourself.

Frame's lawyer said he didn't intentionally set out to kill anyone. How do you feel about that? Is it an accident if you drink yourself beyond the legal limit and then have an accident?

Our thoughts and prayers to each of these families for their loss.
