Free Presentation Offered on Distracted Driving

Our law firm is very committed to providing education to civic organizations and students on the dangers of distracted driving which includes using a cell phone or texting while driving. If you believe your child's school would benefit from a presentation on the dangers of texting and driving or cell phone use and driving, please let us know. We will be happy to follow up with the school to make arrangements for a presentation. Although we are physically located in East Texas, we have colleagues through a Nationwide Network of Law Firms, The Injury Board, that are also willing to provide this information at no cost. Our association with EndDD.org (End Distracted Driving) and our relationship with American Association for Justice (AAJ) assures that we can find a lawyer knowledgeable in this field to make a presentation that will help stop Distracted Driving.

Here is a little biographical information on me and the presentations I have made over the last two years.

Jeff Weinstein, Attorney. Jeff attended the University of Texas at Austin, receiving his Bachelors of Business Administration in Finance. He then attended Southern Methodist University School of Law, receiving his Juris Doctorate in 1986. After working as an Assistant District Attorney in Dallas, Jeff worked as a litigation attorney for a New York Wall Street Law Firm until he founded a prestigious Personal Injury Law Firm in Dallas. Jeff and his wife, Christi, moved to Athens in 1996 where he created Weinstein Law. In 2002, Jeff’s clients received one of the Top Fifty Jury Awards in the United States, as well as the largest automobile injury verdict in Texas. Jeff has proven himself as a tenacious trial lawyer. His extensive legal experience is another reason why he is a frequent lecturer regarding personal injury cases and consumer law advocacy. Jeff's trial experience has resulted in appearances on Court TV. He has also appeared as a guest commentator on the Court TV channel. Jeff is a member of the State Bar of Texas; member of The Texas Trial Lawyers Association; and member, past President of the Henderson County Bar Association. Jeff loves spending time with his wife and three daughters, Avery, JoJo and Ryan. He fits a round of golf in when he can.

Jeff and Christi created NODD (No to Distracted Driving) in 2010 to provide education and awareness of the Dangers of Distracted Driving.

Jeff: Thank you for all you do to advance the cause of safety, especially for teenagers. NODD is a great program, primarily because of you and the hard work you and your wife do. I attended the “sampling” you provided in Phoenix and the way you immediately engage an audience is extraordinary. Any school looking to effectively warn students of the dangers of distracted driving would be wise to contact and take full advantage of you and your fine program. Regards, Mark
